After ignoring the first part for so long, I was all the more excited about the second part of the series.
I was not disappointed.
The story has been further expanded with things you've read about here and there in the predecessor,
the recurring characters are nice to see again, and also the new ones are a welcome addition to the "family".
There are some unexpected plot twists and after some of the mission outcomes I have to lean back and take a break!
This time the Add-On was not integrated in the main game, and so I have to finish the base game to enter Burning Shore,
but that's not a problem as this greatly extends not only the landscape but also develops the story to part three on the horizon.
Only the melee pit are a torment for me, it was not the difficulty, it seems that I had a hard time to press some buttons
in the right order and most of the time I guess I solve the challenge by accident.
Proof of Statistics¶
I've finished Forbidden West after 94 hours and spend another 18 hours in Burning Shore afterward.
Like in every game so far, I complete all the main quests, the side quests and the other missions the game offers.
In compare to the first installment, the achievements forgive more, and so I was able to get all but the New Game+ stuff
and ended with 77/80 because I was also able to get for example the hunting grounds.
All the tallnecks, rebel camps, cauldrons, and all the collectables (black boxes, ornaments, survey drones, aerial capture, too much to
mention them all) were not safe from my urge to explore.
I can hardly wait until part 3 enters the stage, which I'm sure will also be released for PC. I hope the story comes to a worthy conclusion for our red-haired fighter.
